Autumn’s Carpet

Took this on the way to work the other day. These are definitely the last colors of the season.

Red Maple

This shot was taken towards the top of North Ogden Pass, on the Ogden Valley side. I stopped to get a panorama of the valley (which didn’t turn out very well), and luckily I turned around toward the mountain and saw one of the brightest red maple trees of the season.

First Autumn Colors

Double feature today. I took a short trip up a canyon yesterday evening to scout out new locations for the upcoming autumn colors. I stopped and grabbed a few shots along the way.

These maples standing among the aspens were among the first to change colors.

These autumn reds coming out of the desert sands and rock were brilliant.
