Three Arch Rocks Sunset

This is one of my favorite shots from our recent trip to the Oregon Coast. It was taken in the small town of Oceanside. The longer exposure time results in the often sought-after “painterly” feel.

Wave Crash – Oceanside Sunset

There’s a tunnel directly through a cliff that you have to go through for about 200 feet to get to this location in Oceanside, Oregon. When we arrived, the tide was slowly coming in. The resulting crashing waves weren’t huge, but still picture-worthy, especially as they coincided with the setting sun.

Viewpoint in Humbug Mountain State Park

This shot was taken along the Oregon coast, on Highway 101 at a viewpoint along the way. After some major Google Maps work, I finally found exactly where I took the shot. The viewpoint was inside of Humbug Mountain State Park, just south of Port Orford and a good deal north of Gold Beach. The exact location can be found on  Google Maps here.
